Float Trips and Drop Offs for Day Trips

There are two groups that offer drivers and tubes. Andy's on River Road, 830 232 5444. Or Buchanan's Cabin's @ Neal's Lodge. Magers does not do the drive or rent tubes. I was able to get a hold of Buchanan's cabins this morning and they were as friendly as ever. She was familiar with Magers and camp explained that we would take our cars to Neal's camp where they would rent us tubes then drive us either to the first or second crossing. The first crossing is the one we are most familiar with, the second crossing is past old Bee's camp. Holly reminded me that we had rafted it once or twice before.
Prices are as follows:

Tube rental - $5.
Drive and drop - $7 for first crossing, $9 for second crossing.

So each time we raft it will cost us $12 a person.

She also informed me that no one is rafting at the moment because it is so low. She said the only thing it seems people are doing is swimming in the swimming holes, like the one near Neal's. She said she thought Magers had a swim hole two, but wasn't sure.

I was also told that August might be a good time to go as they could still see some rain and that would help with the water levels.

Here are websites related to tube trips and such.

Here is a website for advertising free music at night in the concan area. Remember the first night is for bringing a homemade instrument or one that is yours.

I hope all is well for you today. I am praying for you and thinking about you.
Love you all.

New Dates for the Camping Trip

Well folks I had to change the date. The new dates are the 11th, 12th and 13th, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights respectively. I know some of you will not be able to make it. That's totally okay. Sometimes its just the invites that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Don't worry we'll float down the lazy river and yell out your name to the trees. Again, the dates are changed. These dates are final...well probably. No no, I'm sure this is it...maybe. Just kidding, I know these are the for sure dates...I think.

You Are Invited!

Hey folks! If you received a link for this blog you are invited to attend a weekend with family on the Frio River. We got tired of talking about it, so I rented two campsites along the Frio River for August 4, 5, and 6. There was a three day minimum.

We all have great memories of being on this river. Let's get together again.

What will you bring? How will you pack? Start thinking about it. Even though we're all going through some big changes lets ask God to allow us to join together once more before the year really starts off strong.

I look forward to seeing your comments and posts. If you wish to make a post simply let me know and I'll email you the password and stuff.
